Getting started
1What is XSchools.in?
XSchools.in is one platform for everyone in school education. Teachers find jobs, schools find teachers, parents find tutors and services, and service providers and vendors reach schools.
2How do I join?
Choose your portal on the home page: Teacher, School, Parent or Service Provider. Enter your mobile number, type the one-time password (OTP) we send you, and fill in your details step by step. There is no password to remember.
3I did not receive the OTP. What should I do?
Wait one minute and check your SMS or email, including the spam folder. Then tap Resend. Each OTP is valid for 5 minutes and can be used only once. After 5 wrong attempts, request a fresh OTP.
4Can I use the same mobile number as a teacher and as a school?
No. One mobile number or email belongs to one role only. If you run a school and also teach, register the school with the school's official number and yourself with your personal number.
5Can I save my progress and finish later?
Yes. Your details are saved at each step. Log in again with your number and you will continue from where you stopped.
For teachers
6Is XSchools.in free for teachers?
At present XSchools.in does not collect any fee from teachers. Creating a profile, building your résumé and applying for jobs are free for a limited period. Never pay anyone, on or off XSchools.in, to get a job or an interview.
7What should I fill in my profile?
Your subjects, classes, boards, qualification, years of experience, current role and preferred location. The more complete your profile, the better your job matches.
8How do I make my résumé?
Open your dashboard and use the résumé builder. Choose a design, add your details, and use the AI suggestion button to polish your summary if you wish. You decide every word; AI only suggests.
9Who can see my résumé?
Only registered schools, and only after you publish it. You can unpublish it at any time from your dashboard.
10Will schools see my mobile number and email?
Not at first. Your contact details stay hidden until you apply to that school's job or the school shortlists you.
11How do I get job alerts?
Once your profile is complete, we email you jobs that match your subject, level and location. You can change how often you receive alerts, or turn them off, in your alert settings.
12How do I know my application was received?
Your dashboard shows each application and its status. You also get an email when a school updates it.
For schools
13How do I post a teaching vacancy?
Log in to the School portal, open Jobs and tap Post a job. Fill in the post, subjects, classes, board, medium, salary range and last date. Read the safety notice, tick the box and publish.
14How do I find suitable teachers?
After publishing, open Candidates for that job. XSchools.in lists teachers whose subjects, level and location match, with a match score. Teachers who apply also appear under Applications.
15When can I see a teacher's phone number and email?
When the teacher applies to your job, or when you shortlist the teacher. This protects teachers from unwanted calls and keeps hiring respectful.
16How do I close a vacancy?
Open the job and tap Close. Tell us why: filled through XSchools.in, filled elsewhere, or not hiring now. Matching teachers stop receiving alerts for it.
For parents, service providers and vendors
17What can parents do on XSchools.in?
Parents can find teachers for tuition and discover education services and providers. Register on the Parent portal with your mobile number, tell us what you are looking for, and contact the people you choose.
18Who can service providers and vendors connect with?
Service providers and vendors work with schools. They can see school requests and send introductions and quotations to schools. They cannot see or contact teachers or parents, though teachers and parents may contact a provider first.
19How does a school buy from a vendor through XSchools.in?
The school posts a request or contacts a listed provider. The provider replies with a quotation. Once both agree, the school issues a purchase order. All terms and conditions should be written clearly in that purchase order. Payment and delivery are directly between the school and the vendor.
Documents and verification
20Do I need to upload my certificates or ID proof?
No. XSchools.in does not ask any member to upload certificates, ID cards, Aadhaar or business documents. This keeps your personal documents safe with you, not stored on a server.
21Then what does XSchools.in verify?
We confirm each member's mobile number or email through OTP. We do not check certificates, identity documents or business licences. Every member is responsible for verifying the people they deal with.
22How should a teacher verify a school?
Visit the school or call its official phone number. Ask for the appointment letter on the school's letterhead before joining. Never pay any fee to get a job or an interview.
23How should a school verify a teacher?
See the teacher's original certificates at the interview and contact their previous employer. Complete the relevant verification according to your school's policy before appointing anyone.
24How should parents and vendors verify the other party?
Parents should meet the teacher or provider, see their qualifications, and agree on fees in writing. Vendors should confirm the school's details before supplying and make sure all terms and conditions are written clearly in the purchase order.
25Will XSchools.in ask for my documents later?
No. XSchools.in has not collected any member's documents so far and will not collect them in future. Keep your originals with you and show them only to the school, parent or vendor you are dealing with.
26Why do I see a safety notice before publishing?
Before you publish your profile, job or listing, XSchools.in shows a safety notice (version v1). It reminds you that we confirm each member's mobile number or email only — we do not check certificates, identity documents or business licences. The notice tells each member type what to verify:
Teachers: Visit the school or speak to it on its official phone number. Ask for the appointment letter on the school's letterhead. Never pay any fee to get a job or an interview.
Schools: See the teacher's original certificates and contact their previous employer. Complete the relevant verification according to your school's policy before appointing anyone. When choosing vendors and service providers, set out all terms and conditions clearly according to your policy.
Parents: Meet the teacher or provider, see their qualifications, and agree on fees in writing.
Service providers and vendors: Confirm the school's details before supplying. Make sure all your terms and conditions are clearly written in the purchase order.
You tick “I have read this and will verify the other party myself before acting.” The Publish button stays greyed out until you tick it. We record the date. You see the notice again only if the wording changes.
27Is XSchools.in responsible if a deal or appointment goes wrong?
No. Any agreement, payment or appointment is solely between the members involved. XSchools.in is not a party to it and is not responsible for any loss, dispute or misconduct arising from it. If anything seems wrong, tap Report on that profile or write to admin@xschools.in. We will review it and may suspend the account.
Safety, privacy and your account
28How do I report a fake profile or a suspicious job?
Tap Report on that profile or job, or write to hello@xschools.in with the name and what happened. We review every report and may suspend the account.
29Who can see my personal details?
Only the members you choose to deal with, as described above. We do not sell your data. Read the Privacy Policy for full details.
30How do I change my details or delete my account?
Update your details anytime from your dashboard. Every portal has a Hide and a Delete button, so you choose what you need. Hide keeps your account but removes your profile from view until you show it again. Delete removes your account and data permanently.
