How a school really works

Built once a year. Used every morning.

Many schools still spend three or four days with a group of teachers building the timetable chart, then manage every absence by hand on the notice board. DHURUV takes over both.

Once a year

Build the timetable

  • Bell times, teacher Excel, classes, Generate
  • Clash-free in seconds, checked again by a separate checker
  • Each teacher gets her own week on WhatsApp
Every morning

Run the day

  • Mark who is absent or on leave
  • DHURUV fills every period with a free teacher
  • Print the substitution sheet, or WhatsApp the substitutes

The features

Everything a CBSE school needs around the timetable

CBSE subjects picker, class by class

Pick the CBSE subjects and weekly periods for each class. Teachers upload their own subjects in one Excel file, and DHURUV merges spellings like “Maths”, “SS” and “PET” into one correct subject, so no period is counted twice.

  • Classes I–V with EVS, VI–X with Science and Social Science, XI–XII by subject
  • Weekly periods fitted to your bell times automatically, with Undo
  • Only two Excel columns are a must: name and subject

Advantage: no wrong period counts, and no long data entry for the office.

CBSE circulars, live every week

DHURUV collects the latest CBSE circulars and notifications from the official CBSE website every six hours and sorts them by what they mean for the timetable. One button asks a simple question: add this activity to the timetable?

  • Yes: DHURUV fits the period in and moves only the lessons it displaces, re-checked for clashes
  • No: your fixed timetable stays exactly as it is

Advantage: the coordinator no longer reads every circular to find the ones that change the week.

Connect every teacher on WhatsApp

Each teacher receives her own week and a personal link that opens on her phone, with no app to install. Class teachers also receive their class timetable link to forward to parents.

  • One private chat per teacher; nobody sees another teacher’s message
  • No API key and no cost per message: it uses the school’s own WhatsApp

Advantage: no more photographing the chart and posting it to a crowded group.

Specialised messages, group-wise or one by one

Choose the type of message, write it once, and send it to exactly the teachers concerned. Every teacher appears with a tick box.

  • Types: official circular, general information, CBSE news, teacher replacement, substitute teacher, support teacher
  • Groups: Kindergarten, Primary, Middle, High School, Higher Secondary, all-level teachers, class teachers only
  • Or tick particular teachers from the list or the drop-down

Advantage: the right message reaches the right teachers, and the office keeps a record of what was sent.

Absent teachers, covered in minutes

The Today page

Mark a teacher absent for today or for a leave from one date to another. DHURUV lists each of her periods with the best free teacher, same subject or same class first, and never puts one teacher in two places.

  • Print the substitution sheet for the notice board, with a signature column
  • Or send each substitute a WhatsApp message with period, class and subject
  • “Find a teacher” shows where anyone is right now, and prints a slip for the attendant

Advantage: the morning arrangement that took the coordinator half an hour is ready before the first bell.

Long leave, connected to XSchools.in

Maternity leave, medical leave, a teacher who leaves suddenly: DHURUV covers each day from your own staff. When a longer gap needs a teacher, it points you to the XSchools.in Urgent Leave Cover page, where teachers, retired teachers and qualified parents who are ready for short-term work are listed.

  • Post a cover need with subject, class, duration and joining date
  • Nearby available teachers are alerted; hold a demo class and an interview
  • The pop-up can be switched off any time
